Jemrose Vineyard – Bennett Valley

Located in the cool, fog-prone Bennett Valley, the Jemrose Vineyard is composed of multiple blocks, primarily situated on steeply sloped, rocky, clay-loam soils (Goulding series). There are five clones of syrah here – 174, 383, 470, 877, and Estrella River. Exposures run the gamut but the bulk of our fruit comes from the steepest block facing due north. Given this exposure and the cool, marine-influenced climate, this is some of our last fruit to be picked, with harvest in late October, even early November.
