Here kitty-kitty! The “hedonistic sex kitten” returns! Similar to the 2002, this year’s rendition is composed of 70% grenache, 23% mourvèdre (both from Unti Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley), and 7% Russian River Valley syrah. Each component was fermented separately with the final blend assembled the following summer. Bottled unfiltered.
Tasting Note: Medium to medium-dark ruby. Hi-toned aromas of cherry and pomegranate with hints of iron, mace, and carpaccio. On the palate, full-bodied and creamy with all kinds of delicious, exotic flavors from the mourvèdre component. Very decadent! Drink from late 2006 through 2011. (MRO – 1/28/06)
