Although this is our first year working with the Parsons' Ranch, we’re off to a terrific start! Picked October 14th and October 25th, 40% whole clusters were used in the indigenous fermentation. Aged in all French oak, 36% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Note: Inky black-purple in color. Heady aromas of blackberry compote and fresh churned butter. Smells just like Grandma’s blackberry cobbler! As full-bodied as our Dry Creek syrah but perhaps with slightly brighter acidity (as expected from Russian River Valley). Slurp-able now but even better with cellaring. Drink from mid-2008 through 2013. (MRO – 3/1/07)
