Predominantly from several cool-site vineyards picked in the latter half of October, 23% of the fruit was not destemmed to increase complexity and aromatics. Aged in all French oak, 19% new, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Note: Dark ruby-purple, verging on opaque. A wonderful nose of black olive, cherry, plum, blood orange, herbs and spice. Very complex! On the palate, flavors echo the aromas. Impressively concentrated yet deliciously approachable. Enjoy this wine upon release through 2018. (MRO – 10/30/08)
